This week’s door is located at 30 Rue Las Cases. As you can see, there are actually 2 doors – but I’m focusing on the one to the right because I like the detail at the top.
I can’t find any information about what’s behind the door, but I’m okay with this. I can tell you that the street is named after Emmanuel, Comte de Las Cases – born Emmanuel Augustin Dieudonné, Count De Las Cases (try saying that 5 times fast). His story is interesting, though he’s mainly known for writing a biographical account of Napoleon’s time in exile on St. Helena.
But back to the door..
Look at this knocker. It’s exactly why I love searching out doors!
Thursday Doors is a weekly event facilitated by Dan. To take part, or to simply check out more doors from around the globe, check out Dan’s Blog.
